Moments

I am staying alone in Bangalore now , and I miss the lovely moments with Sonamoni , Mimi , Ritu and Ma. Though I talk with them everyday , Sonamoni asks me whether I shall come next day.

She is so matured … she is so understanding …. I feel very bad. I remember the day before leaving for Kolkata, she said to me “Ami to kaal chole jabo”.. and she had a very sad face while telling it to me.

She understands everything… I long to see her again.

I long to see all of them again.

Chom  Chom ( Mimi ) has high fever and Ritu has it too. Rangapishi , Bonta, Pakhee also has fever. Maybe it’s the viral fever which is grasping Kolkata.

Please keep everyone safe and sound.

Coming back alone

I had booked Mega Cabs to go to the airport. The cab had arrived on time, it was 12pm . The date was 29th May 2011.

Chom Chom was sleeping, after I kissed her, she was wide awake after sometime. I took the blessings of Ma, told bye to Ritu, Sonamoni gave me three kisses, and I boarded the cab.

Within a short time, I was out of Turf View ( that was Ritus quarter ) . into the busy streets of Alipore. The cab sped through the flyover connecting Bengal Area and Park Circus. I reached the airport before time, called up Ma, Ritu and Rangapisi that I had reached the airport safely .

I went through the usual security check, saw some elderly ladies sitting in wheelchairs,.even some weeks back I used to see Ma there, but this time she was staying in Kolkata with Ritu, Sonamoni and Chom Chom . My eyes glistened for some time and then I headed for the stairs. The flight was a little late , and there was no one to talk to. I reached Bangalore safely, boarded a Meru Cab and was back to Pinewood Apts.

On entering the house , I turned on the lights, went to Ma's room .. it was empty. Then I cried for some time, and started cleaning up the house.

Then I cleaned the rooms, had dinner, called up Ma, Ritu, Rangapisi and Sejokaku and later went to sleep. The next day was a Monday, and I had to reach office .

Life moved on.....

Introducing Mimi

It was the 12th October 2010 , and Baba and me got up early and went to the Command Hospital , Bangalore to meet Ritu. She was already in her gown , ready to be taken to the OT room . A little later , Ritu headed for the gynecology department and we stood outside. Though we waited outside, we never saw Ritu being taken to the OT ; anxiously after one hour, I asked a doctor about Ritu.  The doc said , she had taken inside the OT long time back !!!!!!

Sometime later, I heard an elderly lady looking for Ritu's husband ( she was not able to say my name properly ). However, the word "Ritu's husband" was enough for me, and on approaching her, she told me that Ritu had given birth to a daughter.

I was very happy and sent a text message to my family members, colleagues and friends.

A little later , I saw Mimi wrapped in a towel, she looked so cute .

Happy Together

Right now I just don't remember the date, but it was probably a Saturday maybe 8th October 2010 ; that Ritu and me went together for some shopping at Brigade Road . Oh ... Ritu was getting me a new pair of jeans ....and   we were hopping in Levis and Wrangler outlets . However, we had the car -- the red Hyundai i10 Sportz which Ritu had bought recently.

A little later, after looking at some shops we felt hungry, and thought of having some coffee. I saw a newly opened coffee shopped , which looked swanky and we went in.

The coffees shop looked hep, I think there were three partitions in the shop - two of them were closed roof, and the other one was open. We opted for the closed roof, and took our seat. Looking around we notice that we were the only married couple there , others being youngsters . We chose to look at the menu card and start a discussion among ourselves - in fact I don't remember if we had been to a coffee shop after marriage .

Ritu ordered Expresso Coffee while I chose the Caffe Latte ; along with a chicken sandwich . A little later, the waiter came with the Expresso Coffee  in a very small cup, so we ordered Caffe Latte for both of us.Thereafter we spent the time having sandwich and coffee.

Both of us really enjoyed the moment.

Durga Puja 2010

Durga Puja is round the corner . The Festival is celebrated in Bangalore very well, but I never get the spirit of Calcutta here . I dont think the festival can match the Calcutta fever ever.

Last time we enjoyed the Puja very much , but this time we are a bit tense as Ritu is carrying . The other day we asked Sonamoni, about her freind, and she said it shall be a girl.

Keeping our fingers crossed.

Sonamoni's "Pete ooooo"

Sonamoni is always vibrant and full of life. She has been complaining of stomach pain for quite some months. Initially we did not take it seriously and thought about it as a colic pain ; which was quite common with kids. We also dewormed her, but the pain continued. We checked with the some of the best docs in Bangalore, but all of them said - probably its from gas.

However , a junior doctor said it might be a lymphnode inflammation - but the ultrasonography did not reveal anything. Last month, we checked her again and repeated the ultrasonography again.. and she was diagonised with mesentric lymphnodes ... which is a lympnode inflamation.

Ritu and me looked up the internet for this , and we thought about many possibilites , and discussed that nothing shall happen to Sonamoni. A couple of days later, Ritu did a blood test of Sonamoni also and the report was okay --- nothing has happened to her . We consulted Sakakima and Rangapisi, and they gave us some homeo medicines for the cough cold that assisted this pain.

She is the presently the best gift , God has given us -- and she shall become one of the best.

The pain is still there sometimes, but it has subsided a lot .

Coming back to life

It was a long wait , with a sudden resolution. It started with a chat on Skype, and it had a nice ending . Moreover, its turning out to be pretty good .

Everyone was happy and I felt a lot lot better -- relieved after a long time. One day, I brought dinner for everyone , in our new car ( shall post a post about that later ) . Days are passing by in a better fashion , compared to what I was going through earlier .

Nabobarsha ( 15th April ) , the Bengali New Year was okay , though both of us spent most of our time in the office. But I went home early ; thats the only thing I could do from my part .

Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of lifeand the seeds of change were planted
Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life

My trip to Dum Dum

I had gone to Dum Dum , this was the first time, I had gone along with Ma, Sonamoni and Ritu all along. Normally , Ritu and I go seperately, as our leaves never synchronize. This time, it did for some other reasons, but I was very happy to go to home and enjoyed every bit of my stay. All the childhoood memories, passed by in my memories and I revisited every part of my life , in the house I had grown up in.. my childhood, my education, my fights and quarrel, nostalgic memories surfaced up .

I took a snapshot of my house and posting it below .

Summer of 2009

The Summer of 2009 has been really cold for the entire world. It is a crisis after 60 years and it shall probably be remembered for some time. Lack of vision has left many people the poorer, and a handful of them have survived the recession – probably either by bailing out ( and travelling in private jets ) or by keeping the boss happy ( however it may be )  .
